Europe, we’re coming.
Registration is now open for the Resource Therapy International Second World Conference, taking place in Erlangen, Germany, from 17–19 June 2027.
And this one feels like an important milestone. I know RT is well known in Europe, so we are excited to meet RT trainers and Therapists of our global community.
Our theme is:
New Directions in Parts Therapy
Parts work is having a moment. We know this and want to share the brilliance of Resource Therapy’s elegant structure internationally.
Across trauma therapy, psychotherapy, relationship work and clinical practice, there is growing interest in how we understand and work with the different parts of personality.
But where do we go next?
That is the conversation we are bringing to Erlangen.
Not simply more of the same.
Not simply another conference.
We want to create a place for new thinking, strong clinical practice, research, challenge, curiosity and genuine international exchange.
From Bali to Germany
Our first RTI World Conference brought our community together in Bali.
In 2027, the conversation moves to Europe.
For three days, clinicians, researchers, trainers and mental health professionals from around the world will come together to explore what is changing, what is emerging and what deserves our attention next.
We will be looking at Resource Therapy, of course.
But we are also opening the door to the broader conversation around parts therapy and parts-based psychotherapy.
How are clinicians applying RT differently?
What are we learning about trauma, memory, attachment and personality in parts work?
Where is the evidence developing?
And what ideas are beginning to reshape the way we think about therapy itself?
These are the conversations I want us to have.
German and English. One conference.
One of the things I am especially pleased about is that Erlangen 2027 will be a genuinely bilingual international conference.
Presenters will be able to speak in either German or English.
Professional consecutive interpretation will be provided throughout, from German into English and English into German.
That means our language does not need to divide our professional community.
It gives us the opportunity to hear ideas, clinical experience and perspectives that might otherwise remain within one country or one language.
And I think that matters.
Who should come?
If you are a psychologist, psychotherapist, counsellor, psychiatrist, social worker, trauma therapist, Resource Therapist, researcher, trainer or mental health professional interested in parts work, this conference is for you.
You do not need to already practise Resource Therapy.
You simply need to be curious about where parts-based psychotherapy is heading.
This is the next conversation
Conferences are at their best when they do more than deliver information.
They create conversations.
They challenge assumptions.
They introduce us to people we would never otherwise meet.
And sometimes, they shift the direction of our work.
That is what I want New Directions in Parts Therapy to be.
A place where experienced clinicians and emerging voices can meet.
A place where research and real-world clinical practice can speak to each other.
A place where we can be curious about what comes next.
