Resource Therapy International Inc. (RTI, we, us, our) respects privacy and is committed to handling personal information carefully, lawfully and transparently.

Where case material is discussed in training, supervision, consultation or professional development settings, participants are expected to remove or alter identifying details so the client cannot reasonably be recognised, unless they have lawful authority and appropriate consent to disclose that information.
4. Trainer and trainee records
RTI may collect, hold and use information about trainers, trainees, members and applicants for the purpose of maintaining appropriate professional, membership, training and certification records.
This includes: trainer name and contact details; trainee name and contact details; course or training program completed; training dates and location; training organisation or provider; trainer responsible for the training; attendance and completion records; certificate or credential status; membership category; renewal or expiry dates; supervision, consultation or professional development records where relevant; and information required to verify eligibility for membership, certification, trainer status or professional recognition.
RTI may ask trainers or recognised training organisations to submit trainee information through a secure portal, form or approved record-keeping system.
The purpose of collecting this information is to support accurate records, recognition of training, certification pathways, professional standards, membership eligibility, communication with trainees and trainers, and continuity of records for the Resource Therapy community.
Trainers remain responsible for keeping their own accurate training, attendance and certification records in accordance with their professional, legal and organisational obligations.
RTI does not require trainers to submit confidential client information.
5. How we collect personal information
We usually collect personal information directly from you when you visit or use our website; use the secure member portal; complete a membership, enquiry, registration or application form; join RTI as a member; register for an event, webinar, training or conference; make a payment; subscribe to our mailing list; communicate with us by email, phone, online form, social media or other means; participate in a survey, forum, meeting, webinar or online group; or provide information to an RTI committee member, representative, trainer or authorised volunteer.
We may also collect information from third parties where it is lawful and reasonable to do so. This may include recognised trainers, training organisations, professional bodies, payment processors, event platforms, website platforms, email marketing systems, database systems, form providers or other service providers.

We collect, hold, use and disclose personal information for purposes including:
providing RTI membership services; processing membership applications and renewals; maintaining membership, training, trainer and certification records; verifying training, membership, certification or trainer status; communicating with members, applicants, trainers, trainees, presenters, attendees and stakeholders; providing information about RTI activities, events, conferences, training and professional development; managing event, conference and webinar registrations; processing payments and issuing receipts; managing secure member areas or protected website content; supporting governance, committee, administrative and record-keeping functions; responding to enquiries, feedback, requests or complaints; improving our website, communications and services; meeting legal, accounting, insurance, compliance and reporting obligations; and protecting RTI’s lawful interests, including managing risk, disputes, complaints and misconduct concerns.
We will not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
8. Secure member portal and database
RTI may operate a secure member portal, database or online record-keeping system for membership, training, certification, trainer recognition, event registration and administrative purposes.
Information stored in this system may include member details, trainer details, trainee records, membership category, payment status, renewal date, training history, certification status and communication preferences.
Access to the portal or database will be limited to authorised people who need access for legitimate RTI purposes. This may include authorised committee members, administrators, contractors, trainers or service providers.

Users of the portal must not upload unnecessary sensitive information, confidential client material, client records, case notes or information about another person unless they have authority to do so.
9. Payments
RTI may use third-party payment processors, such as Stripe or another secure payment provider, to process online payments.
Payment providers may collect and process payment information in accordance with their own privacy policies and security standards.
RTI does not intend to store full credit card numbers on its own systems. Please do not send full credit card details to RTI by email.
We may retain payment confirmation, invoice, receipt, transaction and membership payment records for legal, accounting, tax, governance and administrative purposes.
10. Direct marketing and communications
We may send you emails or other communications about RTI membership, events, conferences, training opportunities, professional updates and related services.

By attending a recorded session, you acknowledge that your name, image, voice, comments, chat contributions or other participation may be captured.
