Resource Therapy International membership is opening soon, with four clear membership pathways for people who want to stay connected, recognised and involved in the international Resource Therapy community.

Resource Therapy continues to grow around the world, with therapists, trainers and organisations contributing to the development, teaching and clinical application of this powerful parts therapy model.

As the official international peak body for Resource Therapy, Resource Therapy International is preparing to open a clearer and more structured membership pathway for our global community.

This new membership structure has been designed to support people at different stages of their Resource Therapy journey, from those newly interested in the model through to Clinical Resource Therapists, trainers and recognised training organisations.

Four membership pathways

The founding RTI membership will include four membership options:

Associate Member
Clinical Resource Therapist
Trainer Member
Organisational Member

Each pathway offers an appropriate way to stay connected with RTI, receive relevant recognition and participate in the developing international Resource Therapy community.

All membership benefits are subject to eligibility, current membership, good standing, RTI approval where required, and relevant branding and professional guidelines.

Organisational Membership supports appropriate organisational recognition while keeping RTI’s public communication focused clearly on Resource Therapy.

Why RTI membership matters

RTI membership provides a clearer way for people in the Resource Therapy community to stay connected, recognised and informed.

As Resource Therapy expands internationally, members, trainers and organisations must have a professional structure that supports:

  • connection with the international RT community
  • recognition of training and professional involvement
  • clearer communication from RTI
  • appropriate use of RTI branding and membership recognition
  • support for conferences, events and professional development
  • a stronger international home for Resource Therapy

This is part of RTI’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the professional, ethical and international presence of Resource Therapy.

A growing international community

Resource Therapy was founded by Professor Gordon Emmerson PhD and has continued to develop through the work of dedicated therapists, trainers and organisations around the world.

RTI exists to support this international community and to help maintain clarity, connection and professional standards as Resource Therapy continues to reach more therapists and clients.

The new membership structure is an important step in that direction.

Who can join RTI?

RTI membership is designed for different levels of involvement in the Resource Therapy community.

You may be suited to RTI membership if you are:

  • interested in learning more about Resource Therapy
  • currently studying or practising Resource Therapy
  • a therapist who has completed Clinical Resource Therapy training/ Advanced Clinical Training
  • an approved Resource Therapy trainer
  • part of a recognised Resource Therapy training organisation
  • wanting to stay connected with international RT news, conferences and developments

Membership renewal

RTI membership renews annually from the date each member joins.

This means each member has a full 12-month membership period from their own joining date, rather than being tied to a single fixed renewal date.

Important membership note

RTI membership recognises connection with Resource Therapy International and the international Resource Therapy community.

It does not replace professional registration, clinical supervision, insurance, legal requirements, local licensing, ethical obligations or scope-of-practice requirements in any country or jurisdiction.

Membership benefits may evolve as RTI systems, directories, resources and communication channels are developed. RTI may update membership benefits, eligibility criteria and branding guidelines from time to time.

Membership will open soon

The RTI Executive Committee is finalising the membership launch process and registration details.

Once membership opens, members will be able to select the pathway that best reflects their current level of involvement in the Resource Therapy community.

We look forward to welcoming members into this next chapter of Resource Therapy International.
