Giorgia Deslandes
Clinical Resource Therapy Therapist
Giorgia draws upon her Master’s qualification in Counselling Psychology to provide an integrative, person-centred, and strengths-based approach to therapy. In addition to her work in the community sector—spanning family violence, family therapy, and mental health—Giorgia also has experience in private practice, supporting clients with trauma, emotional regulation, identity, and relational challenges.
Giorgia adopts a neurobiologically informed approach and draws upon principles of Somatic Psychology to support the body and nervous system in healing from the impacts of trauma and adversity. Her work integrates parts-based therapy (Resource Therapy and Internal Family Systems), RI-EMDR and EMDR as core modalities, alongside Attachment-based Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Trauma-Informed CBT, Schema Therapy, and Existential Therapy.
Her approach is tailored to each person’s needs and may involve cultivating mindful self-inquiry, deep present-moment awareness, compassion, curiosity, and spirituality. Giorgia’s practice ultimately centres on upholding each individual’s inherent capacity for growth, integration, and healing.
